ATTGUARD FR H/S

ATTGUARD FR series gelcoats and topcoats contain mineral fillers and halogenated compounds that resist smoke and flame spread when used in combination with a fire retardant system. Laminates made using ATTGUARD FR series gelcoats are self-extinguishing within 10 seconds and also meet ASTM E162-98 (flame spread) and ASTM E662-97 (smoke density) criteria.

Applies:
It is applied to fire-resistant coverings. Gel coating is available in two types: for brushing and spraying. ATTGUARD FR is designed for use with the Methyl Ethyl Ketone Peroxide (MEKPO) initiator system. It can also be used with benzoyl peroxide (BPO). The product is an unaccelerated type resin which requires the addition of an accelerator (Co 6%) to obtain optimum cure. It is recommended to maintain the MEKPO catalyst level of 0.8%-1.5%. Use at room temperature (18 — 25 °C). Lower temperatures increase full cure time.
